Description
Classic Tiramisu Cake with creamy mascarpone, coffee-soaked ladyfingers, and a dusting of cocoa. Easy, authentic, and perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
24 ladyfingers (savoiardi)
3 large eggs, separated
1 cup sugar
16 oz mascarpone cheese, cold
1 1/2 cups strong espresso or coffee, cooled
1/4 cup coffee liqueur (optional)
2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
Pinch of salt
Instructions
1. Brew espresso and let it cool. Add coffee liqueur if using.
2. Beat egg yolks with half of the sugar until pale and thick.
3. Add cold mascarpone to yolks, mix until smooth.
4. In a separate bowl, beat egg whites with salt until soft peaks form. Gradually add remaining sugar and beat to stiff peaks.
5. Gently fold egg whites into mascarpone mixture.
6. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into coffee, then layer in a springform pan.
7. Spread half the mascarpone mixture over ladyfingers. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and remaining cream.
8. Cover and chill at least 4 hours or overnight.
9. Dust with cocoa powder just before serving. Slice and enjoy!
Notes
Use pasteurized eggs for safety.
Chill overnight for best flavor and texture.
Swap coffee liqueur for more espresso for an alcohol-free version.
