Description
Smash burger tacos combine crispy beef, melty cheese, and fresh toppings on a tortilla for a fast, flavorful meal everyone loves.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef (80/20)
6–8 small flour tortillas
6–8 slices American or cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
1/4 cup chopped onion
18 pickle slices
Kosher salt and pepper
Neutral oil for cooking
Burger sauce (see below)
Instructions
1. Divide ground beef into 6–8 balls.
2. Place each ball on a tortilla, flatten to thin layer.
3. Heat skillet over medium-high, add oil.
4. Cook tacos beef-side down for 2–3 minutes until browned.
5. Flip, add cheese, cook 1 more minute.
6. Remove, top with lettuce, pickles, onion, and burger sauce.
7. Serve immediately.
Notes
For best results, use cold beef and smash firmly.
Customize toppings as desired.
